Soft CTA
Also called: soft call to action
A soft CTA is a low-friction ask at the end of a cold email, such as gauging interest or asking whether a topic is relevant, rather than pushing straight for a meeting. It lowers the cost of replying and tends to earn more responses.
Why it works
A hard meeting ask on a first touch asks a stranger for a big commitment. A soft CTA invites a small yes, which opens the conversation.
Match the ask to the stage
Early touches earn the reply; later touches, once interest exists, are where a direct meeting ask fits.
