Salesforce integration
Connect Salesforce as the system of record and map your Opportunity stages once
Salesforce holds the accounts, contacts, Opportunities, owners, and stage definitions your business reports on. Impact Deal Engine does the commercial preparation around them. Today the connection covers installing the org, reading its Opportunity configuration, and agreeing one validated stage mapping. Managed Opportunity synchronization is a separate capability and is not shipped yet.
Book Your PreviewThe workflow boundary
Impact Deal Engine and Salesforce, side by side
These columns describe responsibility inside the supported IDE workflow. They do not claim that Salesforce lacks capabilities outside this handoff.
IDE role in this workflow
- Research, Commercial Alignment, and per-touch composition
- Review before anything leaves the workspace
- Record-type-scoped Opportunity stage mapping and its validation
- Reply preparation and seller handoff context
Salesforce role in this workflow
- Accounts, contacts, Opportunities, and owners
- Record types, stage definitions, and forecast categories
- Flows, validation rules, and reporting
- System of record for commercial outcomes
Salesforce owns the record, the stage definitions, and the reporting. Impact Deal Engine owns the commercial preparation and the mapping that keeps the two speaking the same language.
How the supported workflow connects
From approved input to a reviewed commercial motion
01 Connect over OAuth
A workspace admin installs the connection against a production or sandbox org. Credentials are encrypted server-side and the browser only ever sees masked connection state and the granted scopes.
02 Read your Opportunity configuration
The connection reads the Opportunity record types and their active stages from your org. Nothing is imported: no existing accounts, contacts, or Opportunities are copied into the workspace.
03 Map one record type
Each Impact Deal Engine stage is mapped to one Salesforce stage inside a single Opportunity record type. The mapping is validated before it can be saved: won must point at a Salesforce won stage, lost must point at a closed stage that is not won, and no open stage may point at a stage Salesforce treats as closed.
04 Work the cohort
Approved prospects are researched, prepared, reviewed, and worked through the active commercial motion, with the agreed mapping as the shared vocabulary for stage.

Questions buyers ask
Frequently asked questions
Does Impact Deal Engine replace Salesforce?
No. Salesforce stays your CRM and system of record for accounts, contacts, Opportunities, owners, and reporting. Impact Deal Engine does the commercial preparation around those records.
Does it write to my Salesforce org?
Not today. The current capability is the connection and the Opportunity stage configuration. Impact Deal Engine managed Opportunity create and update is a separate capability and is still planned, so nothing in your org is written by the integration as it stands.
Does connecting import my CRM records?
No. The connection reads your Opportunity record types and their active stages so a mapping can be agreed. Existing accounts, contacts, and Opportunities are not copied into the workspace.
Can I connect a sandbox first?
Yes. The connection supports a sandbox org as well as production, so the stage mapping can be agreed and reviewed before anyone installs against the org the business reports on.
How are the credentials handled?
The connection is installed over OAuth and the token is encrypted server-side. The browser reads only masked connection metadata, the granted scopes, and the current connection state.
Is anything sent automatically?
No message is sent without review. Outreach is review-ready and approved by your team.
Keep the tools that fit. Govern the commercial decision before the motion scales.
