Decision Before Draft
Decision Before Draft is the rule that a cold email, LinkedIn message, or call script is composed only after the commercial decision behind it has been made: the signal, its implication for this buyer, the proof that belongs, the objection in play, and the next step, each settled before any wording exists.
What it prevents
Fluent copy with no reason to exist. A draft written first will sound fine and still be commercially wrong; a decision made first can be checked before it costs a send.
In practice
The reviewer sees the decision as well as the prose: what was observed, what it implies, which proof was chosen and why, and what this touch is meant to do. If the reasoning is invisible, the message goes back.
